The Heiltsuk Tribal Council accepts job applications for casual work opportunities on an ongoing basis. Job applicants must be readily available to work in Bella Bella, British Columbia (or in Vancouver for Heiltsuk Urban Office). Casual work meets our goals for backfill-for-leave coverages, and temporary workload increases across several departments. Hours of work for casual employment can vary from no hours to less than a full day or up to 40 hours in a week. Hours of available work depends on individual department needs. Supervisors ensure employees receive on-the-job training, and skills development opportunities for entry level jobs. Supervisors ensure employees receive job orientations and safety orientations. Casual workers with multiple skills may be selected to orientate for work across several departments. Active employees on the casual worker call list are eligible to apply for internal job postings.
